Face: $159
Face, Neck, and Decolletage: $229
Hands: $59
Arms: $99
Shoulders: $99
Each treatment is created for your skin type and concerns. A series of treatments during winter and the cooler months is recommended as it’s imperative to stay out of direct sunlight for the duration of the program. For best results, book 4 consecutive IPL skin rejuvenation facials 2 – 4 weeks apart.
So what is IPL?
IPL is a form of heat and light therapy, with the light energy being delivered to the skin over very quick intense pulses.
How does it work?
The skin absorbs this light and converts it into heat, which then brings new life to cellular tissues such as collagen and elastin. When treating rosacea or pigmentation the light attracts the unwanted pigment in the skin and shatters it, hence the ‘milo’ impact that can often be seen post-treatment. The ‘milo-ing’, is what we say when the pigmentation is slightly raised out of the skin; as though someone has sprinkled milo onto the skin.
Aftercare: You can have some redness & heat in the treated area, but this usually subsides after 24 hours, apply aftercare products & use a cool compress if needed, When treating pigmentation, a “milo-ing” effect can occur, this is when pigmentation darkens and looks like milo on the skin, it’s imperative to keep the skin well hydrated and let it come off in its own time (usually a few days – week).
While on walks, outside, or exposed to the sun in general, always wear sun protection and wear a hat, & cover the treated areas. Scheduling an IPL skin rejuvenation program once or twice a year is great for maintenance.
